Cream Stew with Chinese Cabbage

No roux required! A warming stew thickened with rice flour.
Ingredients
- Chinese cabbage・・・200g
- Onion・・・100g
- Carrot・・・70g
- Lyophyllum shimeji・・・100g
- Bacon・・・60g
- Water・・・150cc
- Milk・・・300cc
- Rice flour・・・2 to 3 tablespoons
- Butter・・・10g
- Consomme・・・5g
- Salt and Pepper・・・proper quantity
How to cook
- 1.Cut vegetables into bite-size pieces.
- 2.Heat butter in a pan and saute onion and bacon well.
- 3.When the onions turn transparent, add the other vegetables and saute.
- 4.When Chinese cabbage wilts, add water, cover and simmer slightly over low heat. (about 5 minutes)
- 5.Add milk and consommé.
- 6.When the milk is warm, add the rice flour little by little and cook, stirring constantly.
Adjust the amount of rice flour according to the desired thickness. - 7.When thickened, season with salt and pepper to taste.
